In loving memory of Mario Laviena Torres
02/16/1952 – 01/07/2023
Born on February 16, 1952, in Humacao, Puerto Rico son of Romualdo Laviena y Amparo Torres. He had five siblings Julia, Carmen, Adela, Ana & Cheo. Mario came to the United States at a very young age, had a rough start in his younger years, unable to graduate from high school, he had to work to make a living. At a young age he Fathered 5 children. After some time in 1987 Mario came to Christ and turn his life around at which point, he met his First Wife of 35yrs: Letty Carrillo, whom he married April 2, 1988, and raised 7 more Children. They had 12 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Mario devoted his life to his wife, home, and church. He was an Usher in Genesaret Pentecostal Church and was President of the Men’s Ministry. He also loved Fishing, Wrestling and Dogs. Mario worked hard when possible and did his best to succeed to provide for his home, until his illnesses disabled him, completely and started treatments to battle his Liver Cancer. Then on this 7th day of January of 2023, the struggle was too great and “God, saw him getting tired in that hospital bed and that a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered, “come with me, my son”. RIP my dearest husband, for you’ll forever be in my heart, today, tomorrow, and always, Love, Letty Laviena. You will forever be missed, love your Family.

Viewing on Sunday, January 15, 2023 – Time: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Funeral Service on Monday, January 16, 2023 – Time: 9:00am – 10:00am
