On Friday February 24, 2023 Linda Johnston, loving mother and sister passed away at the age of 64. Linda Johnston was born on May 23.1958 to Luther Currie Jr. and Lurethia Singleton in Brooklyn, NY. The oldest of four children, she moved to Philadelphia in elementary school later attending South Philadelphia High where she graduated. She later met Samuel Heath and they were married in July 1976. Out of that marriage they produced three sons Abdul, Hakim, and Hasan. In January 1981 she gave birth to her fourth child Rasha. Linda started her career at the US Postal Service. In 1989 she met Keith Johnston and they married and had two children together, Kandace and Kristian. She then started her own daycare Almost Angels in 1998. She graduated from Community College in (date) Linda had a huge heart and loved church, she began going to Consolation Baptist Church where she quickly became an active and dedicated member of the church. She was baptized and then became deaconess and later ordained as minister.
Linda was known for loving life. Linda left her mark on everyone she came into contact with, Her entrepreneurial spirit and love for people helped her grow meaningful relationships everywhere she went. She loved vacationing and traveling with close family and friends. Linda was a mother and mentor to many, she was always there to lend a helping hand. Serving and helping others was one of her many passions.
Linda was preceded in death by father Luther Jr, brother Scott and best friend Mary Tibble who was like a sister. She is survived by her mother Lurethia, brother Alexander, sister Vanessa, seven children Abdul (wife Tanisha) Hakim (wife Nicole) Hasan (wife Sheila) Rasha (husband Raymond) Knicole, Kandace and Kristian. Fourteen grandchildren Gianna, Natahja, Ziya, Raquan, Jamire, Rhazae, Krista, Rae'yah, Kierstin, Jada, Jaden, Zoe, Ronald jr, and Kalani a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her best friend Bernice Byrd.
