Obituary of Julio I Quinones-Ocasio

Julio I. Quinones, 75, passed away on 3/11/2023 at Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ. He is now in the amazing presence of GOD while holding Jesus's beautiful hands.
Julio was born on Oct. 6, 1947 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to the late Julio Quinones & Angelita Ocasio Quinones. He came to the US in his late teens and worked in the orange groves in Florida and later moved to Camden, NJ where he started his life and remained until his passing.
Julio is predeceased by his parents Julio and Angelita; his son Joshua Palmer; his brother Pascual Quinones; his sister Mirta Quinones AlBareo; his nephew Eduardo (Edwin) De Leon; his nieces Angelita and NoraLuz Quinones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Carmen Velasquez, his son Julio I Quinones Jr and wife Janet; his daughter Nichole (Quinones) Wilder and husband Michael; his daughter Luz Quinones and her fiancé Shawn White; his son Justice (Julio) C. Quinones and his fiancé Maria; his daughter Kylie Lake and husband Dillon; and his daughter Carrie Ann Palmer. His siblings: Heriberto Quinones and wife Millie; Richard Quinones; Mario Quinones and his wife Nancy; and Nora Quinones. His grandchildren: Tito, Javi, Elliott, Micaiah, Amaya, Lily, Josiah, Arielis, Julio (Bebo), Josh, Juliana, Isaiah, Nysaiah, Natalie, Shaun, Ava, Giovanna, Cheyenne, Dominique, and Luciano.
Julio had a vibrant personality which left happiness and a major impact with whomever he came across. He loved to joke around with everyone. His laughter, his beautiful smile, and his deep kindness will be remembered and cherished. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies often sporting their sports gear whenever he left his house. He loved to sing and play the bongos especially to honor his heritage to which he was extremely proud of. He will be dearly missed until we see him again in heaven.
The Celebration of Life will be held at May Funeral Home in Pennsauken, NJ on Westfield Ave. The viewing is on Friday the 17th from 6 pm - 9 pm. Saturdays viewing will begin at 9 am followed by service at 10 am.
We will lay him to rest at 1 pm at Morgan Cemetary at 1100 Cinnaminson Ave. Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
Repass is at 3 PM at Hibachi Grill Rte 130 Cinnaminson, NJ.
Everyone is welcome to attend as we celebrate his life.
