Obituary of Andrea Daryce Purnell
Please share a memory of Andrea to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Andrea Daryce Purnell entered into this world on February 7th , 1973 to Barbarite D. Adams and Braynard A. Purnell Jr. As a baby, she was affectionately named “Rags,” by her Uncle Edward Artis Jr., due to her sweet baby bangs. Later, she shed the name “Rags,” and became “Angie,” to her family, and “Angel,” to her friends. She was raised in Camden then relocated to West Atco in 1980. She attended Edgewood High School in Winslow Township where she was a cheerleader. She went on to meet Gary Ratliff, and was married in 1992. From this union was born a beautiful baby girl, Domonique Laneer Ratliff. Domonique was the sparkle of her eye. The two were inseparable for the last 30 years. With a desire to travel, she relocated to Melbourne, Florida in 1997, where she remained for several years. Full of human compassion, she went on to get her CNA license. She also worked as a waitress but her favorite job was working with adults with special needs. Later in life she borned a son, Michael Lamar Cade, who she loved dearly. Angie was one of a kind. She always had a kind word for everyone, even if she didn't know them. She had a heart of gold. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She would talk your ear off about her precious granddaughter, Kairi Amore Ratliff, as if she was the only one who had a grandchild in the whole world. Angie leaves to mourn her life, her mother, Barbarite, children Domonique and Michael, granddaughter Kairi, siblings Bathsheba, Asia Marie, and Kenneth, grandmother Marchada, and a slew of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
