His Story Reverend Arthur C. Sessoms Jr., affectionately known as Boot, was born on June 18, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born to the late General Elder Arthur C. and Elder Helen P. Sessoms, a union that nurtured and shaped his character. On Friday, May 12, 2023, Reverend Arthur C. Sessoms Jr., passed into eternal rest in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Arthur's educational journey took him through the Maryland and New Jersey public school systems, where he acquired a solid foundation of knowledge. In addition to his academic pursuits, Arthur proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. armed forces. Driven by his passion for automobiles, Arthur pursued further education at Pennco Tech, successfully earning a diploma in auto mechanics. Equipped with his skillful talents, he embarked on an entrepreneurial venture, establishing his own auto shop in Newark, NJ. Later in life, he became a reliable source of assistance for family and friends, utilizing his expertise to help them with their automotive needs. He discovered a love for politics, channeling his energy as a campaign manager for the very first black commissioner of Bucks County, PA. As a young child, Arthur's spiritual journey began within the House of God Church. He wholeheartedly embraced his faith and became an official member of the "Orange Male Choir, "lending his voice to the kingdom of God. At an early age, Arthur experienced the transformative power of the Holy Ghost, a profound spiritual awakening that would shape the course of his life. Recognizing his unwavering devotion and dedication to the church, he was appointed as a TR. Deacon. It was at the age of 19 that Arthur heeded the call of his higher purpose. He embarked on a journey as a Reverend, delivering his trial sermon at the House of God Church, Keith Dominion. In his humble and selfless nature, Arthur dedicated himself roles of the missionary and courtesy committees, extending his compassion and support to those in need. Reverend Sessoms found love in the late Sallie M. Holloman. On November 19th, 1977, they joyfully exchanged vows in Bristol, PA. Their union was blessed with the gift of four beautiful daughters, each a testament to their legacy. Years later Reverend Sessoms was fortunate enough to discover love once more. In 1992, he started on a new chapter in his life, marrying Caryl Dixon. Through this union, he warmly welcomed five stepchildren. In the words of his children…. Our beloved father had an extraordinary passion for connecting with people and sparking meaningful conversations. He was always just a phone call away, ready to engage and educate those around him. He loved sharing knowledge and teaching others, leaving an everlasting mark on the lives of those he interacted with. He enjoyed simple pleasures like eating hoagies, watching movies, and fixing cars. These interests gave him opportunities to connect with others who shared his enthusiasm. Above all, his love for his grandchildren knew no bounds. He cherished every moment spent with them. His presence in their lives brought immeasurable joy. Though his physical presence may be absent, the memories we hold dear and the love he bestowed upon us will forever remain in our hearts. He was proceeded in death by his beloved child: Terisha Sessoms Siblings: Cynthia Pearson (Gregory), Mildred Sessoms, Darlene Sessoms Coley, and Aaron Sessoms. Arthur leaves to cherish his precious memories and legacy his children:Tyisha Glover (Oscar), Tekesha Sessoms, and Nekesha Harris (Varien). Grandchildren: Alexis Bookard, Amani Harris, Ashanti Glover, Ajianaye Harris, Tymeer Glover, Amia Harris, Taevon Glover, and Arien Harris Siblings: Andre Wheatley Sr.(Brenda), Pamela Stubbs, Kevin Sessoms(Cherrie) Godchildren: Aaron Sessoms Jr., Requel Aveno, Ahmad Quafio. His loving nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of relatives and friends
