My brother of the heart, Johnny Ingram will always bring a smile to my face and even a giggle too, because that's what memories of John are made of. He is legendary as a singer and musician. John and I would sing "Endless Love" together on stage and the experience of that duet remains a highlight in my career, singing with him and the brothers was the greatest influence on building me as a performer. Working with Johnny and his brothers has brought me more joy than I can express, "forever memories Johnny, until we meet again". Love always to my brothers, Vikki Austin aka "VA"

I have many fond childhood memories of Johnny and the Ingram family as a youthful member of the First Nazarene Baptist Church. So, family my heart goes out to you today for your loss but knowing that Johnny is absent from us but present with the Lord gives me joy. May the Lord provide you with His peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Johnny,
Remembering the first time I met you and the band down in Atlantic City. You were always a professional gentleman, spreading joy as you sang your songs. I also enjoyed singing while you played for me at Tropicana. I will truly miss you. May God bless you and the Ingram Family. I will be praying for your family. May you rest in His arms.

Some of my best childhood memories are of playing baseball and basketball at 28th and Mitchell. Many a game ended when Miss Vera came around the corner on Howell Street and called, "Butch, Jimmy, Billy, Johnny, Timmy-come home now!" End of game!!!
Johnny, you will be missed always!

As the years went by Johnny and I didn't see each other often. But, when we did I would smile from ear-to-ear when I heard that familiar voice say, 'Jeri Cook'. I would turn around to see his beaming smile and personality that made me just want to give him a hug. Such a kind person from childhood to manhood.
Rest in His love and peace, my friend.
My heartfelt sympathy to the Ingram family and friends. Johnny touched all of us in his own special way!

John's passing brings forth an immense feeling of grief, as the world has lost a truly friendly, humorous, and generous soul. Growing up together on Thompson Street allowed me to witness John's unwavering faith and spirited demeanor which made him a cherished friend He was both gentle and kind-hearted; I cannot recall a single moment where he spoke harshly. May his memory forever bring warmth and comfort to all who knew him.

My friend, my brother, Johnny!
Words cannot begin to express how I feel about you my friend. Johnny, from high school and throughout the decades that followed you always had my back. From the days shooting pool in my basement, to hanging out in the living room blowing out my dad’s speakers, we were connected.
Sandy and I and other family and friends should have been on payroll when the Ingrams played because we were there with you. There was nothing better than hearing you all play, while you and Babs sang with those angelic voices.
We are family and I will forever think of you, first with tears, but hopefully, eventually, remember the fun times with a smile.
To the Ingram family, my heart goes out to each of you. I will continue to pray for your strength and for God to mend your hearts.
Love,
Toni Primas

To the entire family of Johnny Ingram,
We are so saddened to have heard of Johnny’s passing. This is such a tough pill to swallow, but I know God only calls the best home to be by His side. It was always a pleasure to have seen Big John perform and sing. Now Johnny is performing and singing amongst the heavenly angles. May God bless the Ingram Family during this most difficult season in their lives.
Hold on to God’s unchanging hand as He comforts your heart and bless the memories of your loved one.

John Howard, "...I miss you my Buddy, I miss you my Friend... In your finest hour I was there with you..." Watching you in your glory all over the world, standing to twirl those sticks and never missing a beat thrilled me to my toes, singing Babs notes when she needed you, showing up every time I called for you, slaying them with our duets, especially "The Prayer"...There is no one who can fill your place in my life and heart. It was my absolute honor and privilege to share the love of music we both felt with you. I'll never forget the panic we shared after that 1st rehearsal for "Standing in the Shadows..." and how we huddled together and worked it out. We were a team. So, so much laughter and joy when we stood together on and off stage AND when we clowned and talked at home. We shared many secrets, some deeply painful and honest, but we never judged. You were my FRIEND as well as my Beloved cousin. I know you are twirling Aunt Vera's hair again with that finger in your mouth. LOL! I know you are Happy again. I can never forget your beautiful presence. Lovingly, "Tess".

I’m so blessed to have been born into this family and I count you as one of my biggest blessings. You were one of the four musketeers. From the double ups at Christmas to making some of the best go karts in east side, to being king of the crate and everything that you were to everyone who came into contact with you we all miss you. I’ll miss the calls to make potato salad at every holiday or you asking whose house the party’s going to be at. Till I see you again. Love you Big Bro

To the family of Johnny. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all.. As the Obituary stated he was a kind hearted guy. We graduated from WWHS together in 1974. I remember when he was in the movie A Solider Story. I'd brag and I tell every one we were friends in High School. I was so proud to know someone personally on TV. To be absent from the body is to present with Lord. With Deepest Sympathy Altha E Anderson

To the best Stepdad I could have ever asked for. Ever since I was 7 years old, you were always there for me. From Haddonfield Bulldog Cheering, to my attempt at softball, picking me up after school, all those AC trips where I felt like I was cool and every milestone after. Your unconditional love meant the world to me and I am going to miss you so much
♥️ you to the moon and back

Dad, so many memories, how do I choose one. Overall. Thank you for being there for me from every step. Literally. Thanks for driving me to school for 18 years, supporting every little thing I did, getting me my first car. Thank you for all the insane experiences that don’t even seem real, like the time I met Mario! Punching your back on stage, seeing a real TOUR BUS. Those are some amazing memories, but nothing comes close to the love you’ve shown me and the person you’ve helped shape me into becoming. I miss you today and will miss you forever, but I know you’re with me everyday. Hope I continue to make you proud. Love you pops.
