Reflections of her Life
Nyetta Fields
On Sunday June 11, 2023, God called home His beloved daughter Nyetta “Ny” Fields, daughter of the late James and Annie Doris (Moore) Fields. Nyetta was a loving mother of two daughters, Jessica E. Fields and Shelby L. Fields and one granddaughter Ny’Jae G. Robinson, whom she took great pride in naming. Nyetta affectionately known as Ny was born May 2nd, 1961, in Camden and attended Camden city public schools, graduating from Camden High School in 1980.
To continue her education, she moved to Virginia to study the vast growing field of computer technology. With strong determination she returned to New Jersey where she obtained a job with an engineering company. Because of her excellent performance, she was promoted to work for their affiliate law firm where was known for running the office.
Ny enjoyed many things but being a mother and grandmother was top of her list! She adored her girls, and they adored her! She mastered many crafts, with cooking and gardening being some of her favorites. Ny had a love African statues and would collect them to accessorize her home! Fashion and accessorizing were a true passion of hers and she was good at it, never turning down a sale! Ny had a Zelle for life and a smile that would make anyone in her presence smile too. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed.
Nyetta was preceded in death by her father James; Mother Annie Doris; sisters Debra Ann Yancey, Katherine Yancey Holt and brother James Fields. Left to carry on her legacy are her beloved daughters Jessica, Shelby and granddaughter Ny’Jae Robinson. She is survived by her sisters Yvonne Green, Roberta Davis, Joyce Fields, Sharon
Fields-Langston (Marcus), brother Mark Fields (Juanita) and best friends Sherri Redd and Nicole Harrison and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends as well as extended family members.
