Life Story
Linda Bailey Pyner, peacefully transitioned from this world to enter into God’s rest on July 20, 2023. She was surrounded her loved ones and will forever remain in our hearts.
Linda was affectionately, known by many as “Lin-Lin, Mother Linda or Boomer,” was born to the late Raymond Bailey and Agnes Bell Bailey on January 21, 1951, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. Linda graduated from Palmyra High School and then went on to becoming a Correctional Officer of Mid State Correctional Facility.
Linda lived a beautiful and fulfilling life of 72 years. She was an accomplished bowling professional who traveled and competed in bowling tournaments all over the United States;States, bringing home several trophies and awards. Although, she won many trophies her greatest prize was becoming a mother, giving birth to her only child Donnece AKA “MY CHILD” and was later demoted to “MY PROXITY”. She later became a wife and was married to the late Larry Pyner for 23 years.
Her warm smile brightened and brought joy to everyone who knew her, while her no nonsense countenance would get everyone in line when necessary. Linda’s heart of love and compassion made a difference in every life she touched. She selflessly gave of her time and resources to serve her community as a neighborhood mother, opening her home to those in need, cooking warm meal, cheerleader coach, and special needs advocate.
Linda gave her life to Jesus Christ in 2009 at Empowerment Zone Deliverance Temple, where she faithfully served on the Hospitality and Cleaning Committee and the Mother’s Board. She moved to Kentucky in 2021, where she continued her service to the Lord Jesus Christ at Restorer of Paths International Ministries. She loved the Lord and continued to grow in her relationship and worship with Him. Linda served in every way she could to her faithful creator and church covering and protecting all those she loved.
She was a cherished parent to Donnece Bailey and a doting grandparent to Dalazia Bailey, who loving called her “Mom-Mom”. She was married to the late Larry Pyner for 23 years. Linda’s departure leaves an immense void in the lives of all who knew her. We are honored to have been blessed with her love and kindness.
Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, Raymond Bailey and Agnes Bell Bailey, and brothers Terry Bell, Bertram Bailey, Eric Bailey and Arnold Bailey.
