Obituary of Stephanie Y. Primas
Please share a memory of Stephanie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Stephanie Yvonne Primas, daughter of the late Violetta L. Thomas and Emmett E. Primas, Sr. was born on November 11, 1952 in Camden, New Jersey. She was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 19, 2023.
Stephanie accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Haddonfield, NJ. She graduated from Moorestown High School with honors in 1970 and attended the University of Pennsylvania.
An original fashionista, Stephanie loved fashion and was an affiliate of the Sarah Lumpkin and Modeling Charm Group performing in South Jersey and the Philadelphia area and was a runner up in the Miss Teen New Jersey pageant
Stephanie had a challenging and rewarding career always wanting to serve others. She began her career as a Child Advocate in Camden County and later retired as an Investigator with the Camden County Public Defender's Office with the State of New Jersey. Over the course of her career, she received numerous commendation letters for the quality of her work and dedication to her job. Stephanie retired in 2008 after 25 years of service. She and some of her dear friends formed "Grace" to provide support in the form of Christmas gifts, food and clothing to mothers and children in need.
Stephanie's love and faith in God was tireless. She found her church home at Victory In Christ Christian Center, where she not only served as a greeter but ministered and shared the goodness of God with everyone she encountered. Her lifelong dream was to take a trip to Israel, the Holy Land and walk where Jesus walked. Her happiest moments were spending time with God and her family. She loved celebrating the holidays, especially
Christmas, so much that her tree stayed up all year long. She meticulously adorned it with decorations based on the upcoming holiday... hearts for Valentine's Day, flowers for Easter, whatever the occasion and she lit it each night.
She is survived by her son E. Rock (Rachel) Primas of Mt. Laurel, NJ, daughter Mia Primas of Wilmington, DE, and four grandchildren, Maya Primas, Richard A. Primas, Myles Primas, and Chloe Primas; brother Emmett E. (Toni) Primas, Jr. of Voorhees, NJ, sister Carol (Anthony)Primas-Young of Sicklerville, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
We will miss you Stephie, with all our hearts. But we know you are rejoicing and "getting your praise on" in Heaven above. Today we honor and celebrate you. Our lives were enriched by your love.
