All my childhood memories have Lawrence in them. He was a good dad and the smartest person I have ever known. He was good with his hands from masonry work, to carpentry, just a jack hammer of all trades. When I was young he would always stopped me before I went out to play and ask me if I could get him “a pack of smokes “ kools 100’s lol! If you know him you know he was always smoking.
Over the years we would lose touch but reunite many years later with him telling me “I have a new lady in my life named Francis and I am happy and wish I would have meet her many many years ago!”
He never missed calling me on my birthday never forgetting the day except for this pass sept 2023, me thinking wow he forgot my birthday for the first time in years, not realizing or knowing that 2022 would be the last time he would wish me a happy birthday.
I am sorry I could not make it to say goodbye but I did buy you a pack of cigarettes today and will bring them to you when I meet you at your place in the future.
They say when a parent dies they take your childhood with them. Take my childhood with you and remember me as I will always remember you dad! Rest in Peace !
