Obituary of Ellaina Rose Sharp

Ellaina Rose Sharp was born to the late Elwood and Jeanette Hinton (Sharp) on March 13, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey. Ellaina was the oldest of ten children. She was predeceased by her sister Maxine (who died in infancy), Elwood E, D. Kiwaniis Hinton, and her daughter Khanaiah Sharp.
Ellaina was a lifelong resident of Glassboro and was educated in the Glassboro School System. After leaving school, she held several positions including working as a housekeeper for Dr. and Mrs. Chamberlin of Rowan University for many years. Later, she found her true calling as a teacher's assistant and classroom aide in the Glassboro Public School System.
Ellaina took pleasure in family gatherings, gardening, and music. Whenever you visited her home, she would either be listening to smooth jazz, classical, or Kingdom songs. Sister Sharp was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for over 40 years. She also enjoyed attending bible study and Jehovah’s Witness Assemblies.
She was an avid student of the bible who truly exemplified the fruit of the spirit love, peace, joy...Galatians 5:22-26. Affectionately known as “Granny Goose” by her grands and great grands, whom she adored. Ellaina had a great love for her daughters, Nadene, Tina, Karen, Dawn, and Khanaiah, and her family. That love included her Witness family.
Ellaina was loved and respected by all those she encountered. She truly loved people.
Ellaina ‘s memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her daughters, Nadene Hinton-Graves (Bobby) of Mullica Hill, NJ, Tina and Dawn Hinton of Glassboro, NJ, and Karen Hinton of Clementon, NJ. Her grandchildren, Jamal, Robert, Eugene (predeceased), LaShawn, Dana, Sakeen, Lamar, Jasmine, Samiah, Omar, Indigo, Wilbert, and Donald. Her great grandchildren, Jamal, Jamir, Jeanette, Julionna, Ci’Yani, Eugene, Hashim, Jannah, Angelina, Jayden, Tashean, Tariq, Jade, Layla, Tanesha, Makai, Zaryaa, Patience (predeceased), TaKyra, Omari, Indyoniece, Lae’ana, and London. Her sisters, Jeannette Hinton-Suiter of Clayton, NJ, Ellata Deberry, Nadara Hinton, and Frances Hinton of Glassboro, NJ. Her brothers, Lester Hinton of Glassboro, NJ, and Mark Hinton of Newark, NJ, and a host of cousins and friends.
