Obituary of Tosh G Dewitt

Tosh Georgette DeWitt (Jo-Jo) was born on April 3, 1964 to Queenie Foxworth- DeWitt, and George H. DeWitt at the Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point New Jersey. Jo-Jo age (60) passed away on April 21, 2024 after a courageous battle with stage (4) cancer. she transitioned to the heavens peacefully at Samaritan Hospice at 265, Route 73, Voorhees, New Jersey. Jo-Jo touched the lives of those around her with strength, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. Despite facing the challenges of her illness. She remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew her. Jo-Jo grew up in Ocean City New Jersey. She attended and graduated from the Ocean City Primary school, the Ocean City Elementary school, and the Ocean City high school. She then attended and graduated from the Richard Stockton University. After college, She began a nearly (40) year career in the hospitality industry in various entry level and management positions. Culminating in a (34) year career in the casino industry at Bally’s casino, and Caesar’s casino primarily. Throughout her life, Jo-Jo embodied kindness and compassion. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family alike. (Jo-Jo)’s legacy of love will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life journey. Jo-Jo, is survived by her loving mother: Queenie Foxworth DeWitt, two sisters: Denise Foxworth Whitfield and Joyce Williams, two brothers: Tyrone Foxworth, and James Brown (Danielle), special nieces and nephews Carmen, Terry, Ryan, Toi, Ubaidullah, Zulaika, Anthony, C.J, Gabrielle, Jared. and a host of Great-Nieces and Nephews, her special friends; Fran Johnson, Sonia Hodge and Pamela Hodge. Tosh Georgette DeWitt, memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. And, her strength will continue to inspire generations to come.
