Death
Kirk Thomas Sr. was called home to be with the lord on June 13, 2024.
Kirk departed this earth, doing what he enjoyed doing, working on a residential project.
Birth
Kirk was born on September 27,1960, in Camden, New Jersey.
He was the son of the late Lillian Thomas and Richard L. Thomas. He was the eldest son, and third child from their union. Kirk spent his entire life in Camden New Jersey, until he made his transition to the lord.
School
Kirk graduated from Camden Hight school class of 1979 and attended vocational school for construction, electric, and plumbing thereafter. Kirk was a very inquisitive teen and learned many handyman skills from his father and uncles, or it was self-taught.
Employment/ Self-employed
Kirk was employed by Jason Steel Company as a foreman for seventeen-years and worked at Harry Eklof Association before retiring from the workforce in 2019. During his working career he also, worked as an independent contractor doing construction, landscaping, and roofing projects to name a few or as a as freelance handyman making home repairs, improvements, or routine maintenance.
Kirk could fix just about anything with his bare hands. His favorite projects were anything dealing with residential properties or commercial buildings rather the project was simple or complex. Kirk didn't care, he found it incredibly satisfying to see the end results of his effort and hard work. He was a perfectionist and took pride with each and every project big or small. He was valued, trusted, and appreciated by his clients; everyone knew they could count on Kirk to fix it, install it or repair anything in a property.
Family
Kirk married Wanda Thomas on July 2, 1989, and with their union seven sons and four daughter’s were born. Kirk was a strong family man; he loved his wife and eleven children. He used the knowledge and resources he had to support his family, because abandonment was Never an option. Kirk was rich with wisdom and patience to show tough love when needed. His number one priority in life was his family.
Interest
Kirk's interests were dancing and listening to music, he loved the 70's music rather it was played on low while he was relaxing while watching television or blasting while playing cards with his family. He also enjoyed playing chess and watching Football (He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan). Lastly, he also enjoyed taking care of his plants and had a soft spot for helping people, especially seniors.
Kirk leaves to cherish in his memory his wife, Wanda Thomas, his eleven children: Kirk Thomas, Kyle Hall, Tawanda Hall, Tosha Hall, Eric Thomas, Derrick Hall, Sabrina Hall, Tanisha Thomas, Jermaine Thomas, Tyrone Thomas, Kiwan Thomas. His thirty-three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. & god son Jason; His siblings, Sabrina Bass, Gail (Buttons) Washington, Lynn Law, Richard Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Derrick Thomas (Vincent Hall) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends whom he cherished and loved.
