Obituary
Forever In Our Hearts
Marcella Rowe, 81, of Vineland, New Jersey transitioned from this life to be
with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
Marcella was born in Bridgeton, NJ on August 4, 1942 to the late Daniel
Carlton Butler, Sr and Panzye Donaldson Butler.
Marcie or Marty, as she was affectionately called, received her formal
education in the Bridgeton Public School System. She participated in the
Service League Volunteer Organization and the Junior Red Cross in high
school, and graduated in1960. She later graduated from Craig School of
Beauty in Philadelphia, PA.
Marcella worked at Prudential Life Insurance Company for over 30 years,
before retiring. She also worked at National Freight before her final
retirement.
One of Marcella’s greatest joys came from serving the Lord, which she
started at a young age. She was a dedicated member at Mt. Pisgah
Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was the church secretary of
Pastor Darnell K. Wise for many years and was appointed to the Board of
Stewards where she served as Chairperson for 8 years, sang with the
Gospel Ensemble Choir, was on the Kitchen Committee, Christian
Endeavor, Mother Board and Women’s Fellowship Committee.
Marcella’s other great joy was her family, whom she loved and cherished
dearly. Her family adored her for so many reasons and on so many levels.
She had a beautiful smile, caring spirit and was always willing to help
anyone. She will be so warmly and lovingly remembered for the beautiful
times she genuinely shared with so many people.
Marcella was married to the late David Rowe for 28 years. They shared a
beautiful life together of love, fun, traveling and being with family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children Wanda Coleman,
Marilyn Cintron (Roderick) and David Rowe (Kim); sisters Delores Frain
and Janice Sease (Willie); grandchildren Avery Coleman, Adriane
Coleman, Marcella Salter, Caleb Cintron, John Hall, Brianna Hall,
Alexandra Rowe and Eric Rowe; great-grandchildren Xavier Maxwell and
Peyton Williams, her BFF for 70 years Dorothy (Dottie) Hall, and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that love her dearly. Special mention
to her dedicated neighbors and great friends, Miss Vilma Parker and Eddie
Rodriquez who looked after her fiercely.
Though we are heartbroken on earth, she will be greeted with joyful
celebration in heaven by her predeceased parents, Daniel Carlton Butler,
Sr and Panzye Donaldson Butler, husband David Rowe, daughter Karen
Salter, two sisters Charlotte Cole and Lucille Dunkins, and four brothers
Edwin, Daniel, George and Donald Butler.
Lovingly submitted,
The Family
