My deepest condolences to the family of my good friend and colleague. I met Marvin when he began working in the admissions office at Glassboro State College. I was Director of Admissions at Jersey City State College and we along with other minority admissions personnel spent many hours recruiting students of color to our respective institutions. Marvin often complimented me on assisting him as he developed to being an outstanding professional.
His transition is a loss for all of us. When I retired from New Jersey City State University in 2000 we occasionally would communicate via the telephone. I will always remember his laugh and outgoing personality. My heart is heavy.
