Leonia C. Robinson was born March 2, 1934 in Annona Texas to Charlie and Onnie (Wooten) McClelland. Her Mother died during her birth and she was raised by her Grandmother Praire Lee Wooten. She attended school in Paris Texas until her grandmother's death and then moved to Oklahoma City. She was adopted and raised by Carl and Willie Mae Wooten her Uncle and Aunt. She was a wonderful child and her nick name was "Carrot Top" due to her bright red hair. Leonia started cooking at an early age and enjoyed cooking for her Aunt and Uncle and other siblings.She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of True Vine Baptist church where she was baptized at a young age and sang in the choir. Leonia attended Dunjee High School in Spencer Oklahoma where she met Cleophus A. Robinson Il. They were high school sweet hearts. Leonia graduated in 1952. She attended Langston University, in Langston Oklahoma .She left Langston University in 1953 and was united in holy matrimony with Cleophus A. Robinson II on November 7th 1953.To this union they were blessed with three children, two sons and one daughter. Leonia was a loving and devoted Mother. Leonia furthered her education in many ways. She was a licensed cosmetologist, a licensed practical nurse, a licensed Occupational therapist, and graduated from New York University with a BA in psychology. She was also a licensed travel consultant.Leonia was employed by the state of New York Division of Developmental Disabilities where she was an Occupational Therapist. In her spare time Leonia loved to bowl, cook, put together puzzles and entertain. Leonia loved holiday’s and family gatherings. She loved to provide food for family and friends. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She spent weeks planning her menu preparing meals and making her famous fruit cake. Leonia's ultimate love was travel. She co-founded her own travel travel agency, LCK Travel Services. Leonia was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church , In Willingboro for over 40 years where she served on the usher board, the Pacesetters of Willingboro, Order of the Eastern Star, Princess Leah Chapter. PHA, Khufu Court #118 auxiliary of the AEAONMS, The Golden Circle, NAACP of Delaware Valley and a Golden life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Rancocas Valley Alumnae chapter.Her life touched many people young and old. Her favorite scripture was Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.” On April 30, 2020 Leonia Carolyn (McClelland) Robinson departed life leaving to cherish her memory her husband of 67 years Cleophus Augustus Robinson ll, Two sons, Cleophus Augustus Robinson III (Carmen) Michael Stephen Robinson(Rotona), One daughter Kimberly Marchelle Robinson-Taylor (William). Seven Grandchildren. Sulena Nicole Robinson-Rivera, Shavonne T'nille Spencer, Briella Leah Taylor, Cleophus Augustus. Robinson IV, Crystal Alicia Robinson, Michael Stephen Robinson Jr. and Gabriel Robinson. Five Great Grandchildren. Skai Lynn Rivera, Troy Spencer Jr. Kamdyn Spencer, Landon Spencer, and Layla Spencer. She preceded by and leaves to mourn her Sisters, Fannie Lois Pearce of Paris Texas, Mildred Hinton of Carson, California. Her five brothers James, Noble, Melvin, Leon and Sam, as well as three sisters Eunice, Eva Mae and Annie. Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and Lula Maddox, her special friend, and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly. To view the funeral service live click https://vimeo.com/418100172
